NCNP Call for Posters

Consider submitting a poster abstract to NCNP! Posters can be viewed either during the virtual conference’s dedicated poster session or at any other time throughout the program. Poster authors are eligible for a 20% discount on their registration fee upon acceptance of their poster abstract.

To submit an abstract, please follow the submission guidelines below:

  • Access Editorial Manager®.
  • Log in if you have an account. Otherwise, register for an account to receive a confirmation email through which you can log in.
  • From the homepage, click "LOGIN," enter your credentials, and click the "Author Login" button.
  • Click “Submit a New Manuscript” and choose "Poster Abstract" as the article type.
  • Complete the submission process.

Subject matter

Submissions should contain subject matter of interest to primary, acute, urgent, or emergency care clinicians in any/all specialty areas and practice settings. Topics can include, but are not limited to, clinical care, technology, documentation strategies, medication administration, team development, patient and family education programs, family interventions, and legal or ethical issues.

Requirements
Abstract submissions must include the following information:

  • Poster title
  • Primary author's name, credentials, and contact information
  • Additional authors’ names and credentials
  • 2-3 learner outcome/session objectives
  • An abstract, up to 250 words, that includes:
    • Introduction/statement of problem
    • Materials and methods used
    • Results
    • Conclusions
    • References
    • Acknowledgements

Additional instructions and guidance follow:

  • If presenting a patient case, obtain consent from the patient or anonymize the case. Indicate whether you have consent or are anonymizing the case in the abstract.
  • If your project/research was approved by an IRB or exempted from approval, please indicate this in the abstract. All research must indicate IRB status.
  • For the purpose of blinded peer review, redact any identifiers in the text of the abstract. You will be able to reenter them if your abstract is accepted.
  • Do not use abbreviations until you have spelled out all words/phrases upon first use.
  • Include the full citation for all references, not just a URL.
  • If your abstract is accepted, you will need to send a PDF of your final poster to be included on the NCNP virtual platform.

Deadlines

  • Submission deadline: April 5, 2024
    • Notification deadline: April 12, 2024
    • Final PDF due: April 19, 2024

Incentive:

Authors of accepted posters receive 20% off their NCNP registration fee.
