Exhibitors / Plant Forward 2021
T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies’ Plant Forward is a series of virtual workshops in which participants will discover how food impacts human health, community, and planet. Participants will also explore what other successful organizations and community changemakers are doing, including:
- Dr. Walter Vermuelen from Samoa, who is working in village after village to reverse up to 93% of chronic diseases.
- Plant-based pediatrician Dr. Reshma Shah who is providing the nutrition specifics for all stages of childhood, while empowering parents with effective tips and strategies for helping families transition to plant-based eating.
- Cooking for Cancer's Angela Dennison, an Oncology Dietician at Wellness House, who is combining her enthusiasm for the power of plant-based foods, with her extensive experience in oncology nutrition and cooking demonstrations.
- The volunteers of the Vecino Victory Garden from CA, who are confronting the consequences of wildfires and food shortages by building community gardens and teaching people how to create food forests in their own yards.
- Nancy Kadenyi of EchoGreen from rural Kenya, who is reforesting and rehabilitating barren lands using indigenous land management strategies and agroforestry projects.
- The Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) from Florida, an internationally recognized human-rights organization made up of migrant farm workers that has taken on the largest fast-food giants and won!
Participants will also have a chance to network, share and learn from each other. When you register for the workshop series, you’ll be invited to join the Plant Forward Community Facebook group. Here you’ll have access to resources, articles, videos, interviews, activities, and much more.
